This dog is out of order because the Marshal is trying to give him enough time between his dogs.

Duck – Nice!

L Pop – Wide left, came in and smacked it.

R Mom – Through right hand portion of the trees and straight to the bird.

Flyer – Straight up middle of the field to the far trees. Hunted down the left side of the field to the holding blind, worked his way out to the bird.

2. AFC McKinley First Ascender-Hudson, “Hudson”, LM, Wayne Curtis

Duck – Nice job.

L Pop – Wide left to the trees and into them. Curved around and got his bird.

R Mom – Into the fall area and quickly to the bird.

Flyer – Up the middle of the field and got deep to the trees, hunting area left and right deep of the bird. Very extended hunt, but got it.

Duck – Nice job.

L Pop – To bush, turned left and picked up her bird.

R Mom – Under the drip line of the tree and right out to the bird.

Flyer – Up the middle of the field. Curved towards guns and deep. Bird fell very wide right; she hunted deep left … Got it!

98. FC-AFC Robbers’ Stray Bullet, “Bullet”, LM, Alan Pleasant

Duck – Good line.

L Pop – Came in from the wide left, perfect.

R Mom – Drilled it.

Flyer – Landed very deep. Straight up the middle of the field. Went to the trees and back out to the bird.

96. FC AFC, Mercy Mercy Mercy Me, “Mercy”, LF, Paul Sletten

Duck – Came in from the right and scooped up the bird.

L Pop – Into the left side of the trees, loop in trees and then came out on the left. Hunted in a tight area around the bush until she found her bird.

R Mom – Straight to the fall area and got her bird.

Flyer – Came in between bird and the gunner's blind. Hunted a tight area and then expanded her hunt deep to the trees. Long hunt before she found it.

This is a rerun from having two no-birds.

Duck – Over the log and straight to her bird.

L Pop – To the right end of the bushes; back to the left, then right, then left to the bird.

R Mom – SMACK!

Flyer – Into the woods to the left of the gunner's blind, hunted left side, then deep. Back out into the field, but missed her bird. Hunted area deep of the bird, but worked her way back towards the line and got it!

Duck – Quick loop to the bird.

L Pop – Nice line to the mark.

Flyer – Drove up the left side toward the blind, hunted tree line deep then moved right and got her bird.

R Mom – Wide right, heading back toward the flyer – handled to the bird.

93. FC Adams Acres Water Lilly, “Lilly”, LF, Bill Sargenti

Duck – Over the log to the bird.

L Pop – To the right end of the bushes. Turned left behind the bushes and came back to the bird.

R Mom – Into the right hand corner of the trees, through fallen branches and out to the area of the fall and the bird.

Flyer – Up left side past gunner's blind – right over to the bird. Nice job.

74. FC-AFC Mulligan Off The Rainy “T”, “Mully”, LM, Wayne Curtis

This is a rerun from a no-bird from yesterday.

Duck – Came in from the right side to scoop up his duck.

L Pop – To bush, looped right into trees and back around to get his bird.

R Mom – Went wide right and circled by flyer gunner's holding blind at the top of the hill. Came back down to get his bird.

Flyer – Up the middle and looped deep, worked way back to the bird.

92. FC Catalina’s Outlaw, “Josie”, LF, Bill Eckett

Duck – Came in from the left – nice!

L Pop – Hunted short, had to handle to the bird.

The dog picked up.

85. FC-AFC Hockley Creek’s Big Hitter, “Manny”, LM, Robby Bickley

Duck – Very nice job.

L Pop – To the edge of the trees, looped right and left working his way a short distance out to the bird.

Flyer – Out to the gunner's holding blind and hunted the area between the guns and where this long flyer landed.

R Mom – Straight to the bird.

Duck – Beautiful leap over the log and straight to the bird.

L Pop – To the trees, thru to the back, turned left and over to the bush.

R Mom – Skimmed the right side of the trees directly to the bird.

Flyer – Nice line to the fall area. Curved right and got his bird.

Flyer – Straight to fall area and tight hunt to the bid … Very nice!

Flyer –  Up to the area, but hunted right – this bird is very short to the guns on the left – Got it!

Day 2 – Fifth Series – Land Quad with Three Retired and an Honor

Test Five is a "Mom & Pop" quad with three retired and an honor. The line faces due north looking out into a large field. The terrain is hilly, falling from left to right. The birds are stacked along the upper left hand side. The "Mom & Pop" are retired in a tree-lined ravine. The order is the Right Middle ("Mom") at 230 yards throws a dead hen pheasant due north away from the line. Next the Left Middle ("Pop") at 280 yards throws a rooster pheasant to the left landing near a large clump of bushes. The third bird is a hen pheasant shot to the right at 300 yards. The right flyer guns were originally supposed to be stand-out guns, but the Judges decided after the two Test Dogs ran that they would retire behind a blind. The fourth bird, a mallard hen duck, is on the far left of the test, thrown to the right at 175 yards. The dog must jump over a large fallen tree trunk to get their bird. After returning from this retrieve, the dogs must honor on the left of the running dog.
